Ollerton Town FC host West Bridgford tonight, after a much needed three points against Graham St Prims at the weekend.

Midfielder Josh Scully grabbed his first goal for the club on his full debut in the match, which the manager, and the fans would be absolutely delighted with.

None of the teams above The Town going into the match had a league game at the weekend, so the win propelled Ollerton from 5th to 2nd place in the East Midlands Counties League. They sit just two points behind 1st placed Eastwood Community, with a game in hand.

The result on Saturday means that The Town keep their impressive defensive record intact, maintaining six clean sheets from nine total games played this season. Ollerton have also only conceded 3 goals in the league this season, the lowest of any team, with the closest being Sherwood Colliery FC, who’ve conceded six.

Tonight's opponents will be looking to grab an important three points. They are currently sat 13th in the league and a win for them could put their name into the promotion race.

West Bridgford haven’t been in their best scoring form so far this season if you compare their record with other teams in the league, scoring eleven goals from eight games. They will be looking for Luis Rose to grab the goals for them, as he scored a brace last time out, in their two-all draw against Dunkirk Football Club at the weekend.

Gav King will be out again for Ollerton, serving the last match of the suspension he picked up against Clifton All Whites. This means that The Town will be looking for goals from elsewhere in the team with the likes of Scully, Ben Partridge, Kurtis Morley and Conor Green all able to post a threat to teams.

This will be Ollerton’s last match before the national lockdown takes place on Thursday, and there’s still large amounts of uncertainty on what this will mean for the future, and for the rest of the season. Non-league clubs around the country will be anxiously waiting for something official to be confirmed but in the mean time, Ollerton will want to get a win to end on a high before their extended break, keeping their good start to the season going.
