The Ladies played in a hard fought battle against Mansfield Town Development this afternoon at the Buckley Brown Stadium.

With almost a full squad to select from, manager Jamie King had to make a few alterations to his starting 11 with a few players carrying injuries from last weeks cup game.

An even start saw both teams with attacking chances, but neither really taking the opportunities and neither keeper being called to make any real saves.

Both defences were looking strong so it was obvious the game was going to be won in midfield.

The deadlock was broken by none other than Hayley Brown for the ladies to take the lead. But the pressure didn’t stop there.

The Ollerton defence working well together to prevent goalkeeper Baker having to get too involved in the game, with the combination of a hard working midfield and threatening front three managing to see out the game.

A great result for the town to keep us at the top end of the table as we head into another break from league action as we face the stage again next week in County Cup action.
