The Buckley Brown Stadium To Host Chesterfield FC Community Trust This Season

Liam Kent7 Jul - 14:10

Ollerton Town FC have reached an exciting new agreement with Chesterfield FC Community Trust.

Ollerton Town Football Club are proud to announce an exciting new association with Chesterfield FC Community Trust for the 2025/2026 season.

As part of this new partnership, Chesterfield FC Community Trust will be playing their home games at The Buckley Brown Stadium for the new season.

They will be fielding a Saturday open age side in the Central Midlands Alliance League Division 1 East, whilst their U21s team will also play their home fixtures at The Buckley Brown Stadium on a Thursday Evening.

This partnership follows on from the success of last season where several of the Community Trust players featured heavily in the Ollerton Town men’s team squad.

This link will help both clubs to continue to help forge a pathway for young local players into men's football and offer them the opportunity at 16 to progress into an education programme to continue their studies whilst playing the game.

Ollerton Town men’s team manager Lee Cook had this to say on the news:

"I would like to thank Chesterfield FC Community Trust for their assistance last year and I look forward to working closely with them again this year in the same regard.

I'm sure all involved with the club will enjoy their time at Ollerton and I'm looking forward to the additional floodlit games in particular that will be added to our already busy site schedule.

It's great to see the numbers of people using our facilities now and the association with Chesterfield will only enhance our standing within the local community.

There will be plenty of football to watch this season at The Buckley Brown Stadium. Get along to see a game when you can."

Nathan Khan from Chesterfield FC added the following:

“Firstly, I'd like to say thank you to Ollerton, and Lee in particular, for giving a number of our young players the opportunity to step up into senior football. Following discussions with Lee and the club it’s brilliant that we can continue to strengthen the links between the 2. The pitch here is in great condition, the club have put a lot of time and effort into it so it's a great place for our lads to develop.

We'd love to have some of the Ollerton fans along to support the lads on Saturdays and Thursdays with our U21’s and hopefully they will then see a few more move up to Lee's team.”
