Ollerton Town this week announced two new signings.

Ollerton Town this week announced two new signings as preparations ramp up ahead of the 2019-2020 season.
With the players back in pre-season training ahead of our opening friendly against Mansfield Hosiery Mills on Tuesday 9th July, manager Dave Winter and his assistants Steve Bodle and Lee Needham have been working hard on not only getting new faces through the door but also securing the signatures of last years playing squad.
The first new addition was former Harworth Colliery and AFC Mansfield forward Ben Partridge. Ben, who has also previously enjoyed spells at Matlock Town and Handsworth Parramore, played under Lee during his time as Harworth manager and was quick to team up with our new assistant manager once again. He possesses pace, strength and an eye for goal and will hopefully prove to be a crucial player for us next season.
After securing his signature, Lee Needham had the following to say: “I’ve known Ben for a few years, and I know what he’s capable of doing. He’s an asset to us at this level of football and we’re all looking forward to working with him this season.”
The announcement of our second new face caused quite a stir on social media as popular young ‘keeper Levi Owen agreed to join Ollerton for the upcoming season. The former Clipstone and Shirebrook Town player has forged a reputation as one of the most talented shot stoppers in the league over the last few seasons and our management team were delighted to get him on board after courting his signature since the end of last season.
Assistant manager Steve Bodle had this to say on Levi’s signing: “Levi is one of the standout goalkeepers in the league. He’s a great lad and he was one of our priority signings this summer.”
Levi declared he was “very excited” to sign for the club, adding: “I can’t wait to get going in August for what is hopefully a successful campaign for the team.”
This week, several members of last seasons squad also signed forms including club captain Sam Stretton and influential midfielder Lewis Price.
