Ollerton Town can confirm their youth team structure ahead of the 2019-2020 season

Ollerton Town Football Club are delighted to announce that as of next season, they shall have a new under 18's side, as the current Robin Hood Colts Under 16's move to The Fast Frame to take on the Ollerton name.

Managed by Richard Walker and former Ollerton 'keeper Lee Jordan, the lads won the Notts Youth Football League Division 2 as well as the cup and they will now be facing the challenge of moving up to under 18's age bracket next season.

Given their success on the pitch, Richard and the players were wanted by several local clubs so we are delighted that Richard chose Ollerton as the place to continue their footballing development. On that decision Richard that the following to say:
"The main reason for choosing Ollerton Town was that I could see that they gave youth a chance in the first team. Ollerton looks, and feels, like a big family club that is well run and I am looking forward to getting my players playing for Ollerton and fighting for a first team shirt."

We hope the addition of an under 18's side will increase competition for places in Dave Winter's first team squad and we are all excited to see what the youngsters can achieve in the Ollerton red and black next season. They shall be staying in the Notts Youth League with their fixtures being played on a Saturday morning. Their first game under the Ollerton umbrella is actually on Friday evening (17/05), as they take on a Mansfield Town youth team at the One Call Stadium, 6pm kick off.

On top of this, the club are also happy to say that Colin Sharp's current under 15's side will be continuing next season as they move up to under 16's. The new under 18's side should hopefully allow Colin's players to progress in the football club as we look to get more Ollerton-born players in the first team squad over the next few years.

The club can also announce that former Ollerton midfielder Richard Allan has returned to the club in a coaching capacity, as manager of our new under 11's side. This team will play in the KickStart league next season and once again, this is more opportunity for the young boys of Ollerton to play football for their local club.

Everyone at the football club would like to wish our three youth teams all the success for next season and anyone interested in potentially joining either team, should speak to our General Manager Adge Owen 07751 659838.
