Ollerton Town Football Club are delighted to welcome Jamie King as the club's new Ladies team manager.
Jamie joins us from Blidworth Welfare where he previously managed their Ladies team, guiding them to a competitive finish in the Notts Girls and Ladies Football League Division 1 last term.
Jamie will be assisted by Jamie Barry, and we extend our welcome to him as he joins us for this exciting chapter in the club's history.
Ollerton Town's previous Ladies team brought great success to the football club, and everyone at the club is excited to see what Jamie and his team can achieve over the coming years.
Bringing Ladies football back to The Lane reaffirms the club's commitment to providing playing opportunities for as many as possible within Ollerton, Boughton and beyond, and it is hoped that the new Ladies team will inspire our junior girls team(s) to continue their development.
The team will be holding trials on Saturday 12th July, and a full pre-season schedule is already organised which should give you plenty of opportunity to watch our new Ladies team for the very first time.
On his arrival at the club, Manager Jamie King had the following to say; "It's a genuine pleasure to be joining Ollerton as the new Ladies manager. I'm really excited to be part of this club and the local community. Grassroots football is all about passion, participation, and growing together. We are keen to get a team together and create a positive environment where everyone can thrive. Here's to a successful season for us all."
His Assistant Jamie Barry added; "I'm excited to get started in preparation for next season. We are joining a new club with big ambitions in the Ladies game. Ollerton's vision made it an easy decision and we will be working to bring an exciting brand of attacking football that the local community can be proud of."
Our Head of Girls & Ladies Pathway John Corfield added; "I am incredibly excited to officially welcome our new Ladies management team. We warmly welcome the two Jamie's and eagerly anticipate working with them to build this new team. This is a proud moment for our club, especially after introducing girls' football last year. Now, with a ladies' team, we demonstrate our continued commitment to providing football for all within the community."
Finally Club Chairman Liam Kent said; "This is another milestone in the club's development. I am delighted to welcome both Jamie's to the football club, and I thank John for his hard work and commitment in getting this over the line. It continues to be an exciting time at Ollerton Town Football Club, and I look forward to next season greatly."
