Ollerton Town can announce the appointment of Craig Collins and Tom Chambers as joint managers of the club's first team.
Craig initially arrived as part of Richard Hannigan's backroom staff but after Richard moved to Dunkirk, Craig expressed a desire to remain at the club. With the nucleus of a team already pencilled in, and given the recent turmoil at the club and our need for stability, the club spoke to Craig and felt giving him the chance to step up to the main job was in the best interests of the club with the new season fast approaching.
Craig has just completed his UEFA B Licence and currently works as Head of Academy Education and Performance Analysis at Doncaster Rovers after previously working as a Youth Development Phase Coach. His CV also includes a role at Rossington Main and he has already used his experience and passion for the game to put the necessary plans in place for pre-season.
Joining Craig as manager will be Tom Chambers. Tom brings with him a wealth of coaching experience and contacts in the local game. Tom spent 15 years on and off at Hatfield Town as a player before stepping up to the managers job. He, like Craig, also has experience of working within Doncaster Rovers' academy set up and can also list Leeds United and the City Football Group on his list of previous employers. Tom also has a UEFA B Licence.
We welcome both to the club and with pre-season training now less than two weeks away, we all look forward to getting the 2023-2024 season underway.
