Sam Dockwray (pictured) scored a 92nd minute goal to give Ollerton all three points

A 92nd minute goal from Sam Dockwray gave Ollerton Town a 2-1 win over Yorkshire Amateur on Saturday as they crucially moved further away from the bottom three.
It looked like the spoils would be shared between the two sides after Adam Shaw's penalty had cancelled out Josh Bowkett's opener for Ollerton, but Dockwray slotted home in the last act of the game to send all three points back to Nottinghamshire.
The win was by no means Ollerton's best performance of the season, nor was it their most impressive result, yet it could turn out to be one of their most important as it moved them fourteen points clear of the drop with second-bottom Westella needing to win all three of their games in hand to get back into touching distance of Dave Winter's side.
Both sides spent the opening exchanges trying to work each other out with the lively Adam Shaw coming close for Yorkshire Amateur, hitting the inside of the post after skipping past two Ollerton defenders before Ludlow fired just wide after being found at the far post by Lewis Bingham’s freekick.
It was the drama at the end of the game that would grab the headlines but the first half also ended with plenty of action. With around five minutes left before the break, Ludlow went in for a 50-50 with ‘keeper Suwara Bojang and the ball rebounded into the path of Ollerton left back Brandon Shaw. He slid the ball across to Lewis Bingham but his goal-bound effort was cleared off the line.
Bojang was forced to leave the field due to an injury picked up in his challenge with Ludlow and the home side were forced to continue the match with an outfield player in goal. This proved pivotal as Ollerton took the lead. Ludlow closed down the makeshift goalkeeper and his kick deflected into the path of Josh Bowkett who kept his cool to score his thirteenth of the season, Ollerton’s top goalscorer ending his recent goal drought.
Ollerton nearly doubled their lead early in the second half as they looked to take control of the game. Bingham went through on the left and with the ‘keeper stranded, Bingham’s cross was agonisingly close to being headed home by Ludlow.
With around twenty minutes left on the clock, Yorkshire Amateur were presented with a chance to draw level after the referee awarded a penalty for a Rob Evans foul on Joel Hughes. After scoring the winner in Amateur’s 1-0 win in the reverse fixture, Adam Shaw stepped up and fired into the top corner.
Both sides were now on the hunt for a winner with Bingham nearly scoring a delightful lob before Ollerton ‘keeper Joe Parker did really well to smother Tom Marsden after the attacker had gone through on goal.
Ollerton’s chances of victory appeared to vanish when Sam Stretton was sent off for two bookable offences in the last minute of normal time but with the last throw of the dice, Ollerton snatched the win.
Tom Cooke’s throw in from the right found its way to Bingham inside the area. He did well under pressure to keep the ball under close control before sliding a pass across to Dockwray who was waiting a few yards out to spark jubilant scenes from the Ollerton players and fans.
