Ollerton Won 6-0 on Saturday with Callum Atkinson grabbing four

Callum Atkinson proved he was more hit man than utility man on Saturday as he scored four as Ollerton defeated Dinnington Town 6-0 to keep up their recent good form.
Atkinson, whose natural position is in midfield, has also played at right back and centre half this season but has found himself up top in Ollerton's last two games due to an injury to Kyle Ludlow. After a hard-working performance helped his side to a 1-0 win over Selston last week, Atkinson managed to get himself four goals against Dinnington and could have easily scored more.
This was the second time the two sides had met in the league this season with Ollerton winning 2-1 at The Lane back in September but this time the win was much more comfortable with Ollerton always in control which helped to warm the Ollerton faithful that had braved the winter weather to watch their team turn out.
It took fifteen minutes for Ollerton to take the lead. After early pressure, the ball fell kindly for Atkinson just inside the box and he hit a well struck effort into the corner of the goal.
Before half time, Atkinson managed to secure his hat-trick with two quick fire goals. On the 35th minute mark, Jamie Charlton saw his shot parried by the Dinnington 'keeper and Atkinson was on hand to roll the ball home. A minute later and Atkinson scored again. Kyle Clarkson's brilliantly disguised pass slipped Atkinson through and he finished well to give Ollerton a 3-0 lead at half time.
Ollerton had to wait until shortly after the hour mark for another goal. Atkinson found himself through on goal and he showed good composure to calmly roll the ball home.
Two minutes later and Ollerton had their fifth. This time it was Will Horton who joined in the action as he was played through on goal before opening himself up and slotting into the net.
Kyle Clarkson has been one of Ollerton's stand-out performers so far this season and he kept up that good form by rounding off the scoring with around five minutes to go. Cutting in from the left wing, Clarkson maneuvered himself past a handful of Dinnington defenders before striking a terrific effort from range into the corner of the goal.
Though Ollerton's back five were largely untested, when they were called upon they had answers for all that Dinnington threw at them with goalkeeper Simon Smith making two brilliant saves in particular.
The win made it twelve goals in Ollerton's last three games with none conceded with Dave Winter's side looking like they have fully recovered from their disappointing start to the season. With a local derby against Bilsthorpe next weekend and a difficult December to follow, Ollerton will have to remain at their best if they are going to extend their current run of seven wins in their last eight.
