Ollerton defeated Bilsthorpe FC 5-0 on Saturday to secure their sixth successive win

Ollerton's fine end-of-season form continued on Saturday as they claimed the bragging rights by defeating Bilsthorpe FC 5-0 to make it six wins in a row, moving them up to second place in the Central Midlands North Division.
Ollerton went into half time 3-0 up thanks to a brace by Paul Burgess and a Kyle Clarkson effort and further goals by Danny Wiltshire and Rob Evans in the second half secured a comfortable win.
Ollerton started strongly and got their opener ten minutes in. A Clarkson corner found Burgess at the far post and after his effort struck the post, he was able to turn in the rebound from close range.
It took until just after the half hour mark for Ollerton to score another. Danny Wiltshire was played through and his shot was tipped over the bar well by Lee Bowler. From the following corner however, Paul Burgess headed in his second with the ball clipping the inside of the post on it's way in.
As the first half drew to a close, Ollerton managed to added to their tally. Following a defensive mix-up, Lewis Bingham found himself through on goal. His initial effort was parried by Bowler but Bingham picked up the loose ball and played it across the area to Kyle Clarkson who rolled in his 21st goal of the season.
Ollerton looked very comfortable all game with Bilsthorpe failing to cause them any real problems. It took until the hour mark for the visitors to add a fourth. A Bilsthorpe defender tripped over the ball, allowing Danny Wiltshire to run through one-on-one and finish calmly past Bowler.
Local derby's are known for being feisty in nature and this was no different. Bilsthorpe in particular put in several strong challenges which saw a host of their players pick up yellow cards. A red card looked inevitable and one arrived with twenty minutes to go with former Ollerton player, Craig Gould, being dismissed for a second bookable offence
Paul Burgess had only scored two goals all season before Saturday's game, and he nearly got himself an unlikely hat-trick. Another Ollerton corner caused havoc in the Bilsthorpe area and after the ball fell kindly for Burgess, his instinctive effort was kept out well by Bowler.
Ollerton brought on Rob Evans as a second half sub and Ollerton's captain got himself a rare goal with ten minutes to go. A good passing move saw the ball played across the box to the oncoming Evans and he found the bottom corner with a one touch finish.
With only two games remaining, Ollerton will be looking to make it eight wins in a row by the end of the season as they look to beat Phoenix FC to second place, behind champions-elect Glapwell.
