Six, second half goals sentenced Ollerton to an embarrassing defeat

It's safe to say that teams have had better starts to pre-season. Dave Winter's understrength side were put to the sword in the second half as a lack of fitness and a lack of quality were evident as Eastwood added another six goals to their fourth minute opener.
With only twelve players available due to work, holidays and injuries, Ollerton were unable to make the most of the roll on, roll off subs and as a result several players were forced to play a full ninety minutes despite it being their first bit of pre-season action.
Paddy Webb fired Eastwood ahead early on with a low shot from the edge of the area. For the rest of the period, Ollerton started to grow into proceedings but were struggling to test the Eastwood stopper with Chris Hewitt isolated up front against the physical Eastwood centre halves.
On 52 minutes Eastwood doubled their lead, Jack Smith heading home at the far post from Jamie Thomas' cross and five minutes later, Jamie Thomas got himself on the score sheet.
Danny Hayes made it 4-0 on 61 minutes and it was 5-0 on seventy minutes, Jack Smith getting his second. Paddy Webb secured his brace with fifteen minutes to go before Rory Smith completed the scoring on 89 minutes.
It was a horrific 45 minutes from an Ollerton perspective and they will be looking to bounce back on Friday when they host Harworth CI in a 7:45pm K.O with several key players expected to return.

Ollerton Team: Watson, Armstrong, Shaw, Stretton, Sennett, Slack, Royle, Carter, Hewitt, Tobin, Shannon.

Subs:
Rant ON for Royle
Royle ON for Tobin
Tobin ON for Armstrong
