Town First Team Squad & Management

Don Gethfield - Manager

This is the Gethfield's first managerial position but he has bags of playing experience; among them Coventry City and Ilkeston Town. He is  an innovative and knowledgeable coach which saw him lead us to the Premier division title.

David Kent - Assistant Manager

Well respected in local football circles, Kent was Adge Owen's assistant before he became general manager, so Gethfield couldn't have picked a better right-hand man.

Adge Owen - General Manager

Mr Ollerton Town, guided the Town to several league championships before moving to his current role. However he continues to reveal a determination to do everything he can to make the club successful.

 

Neil McLafferty - Goalkeeper

Not the tallest of goalkeepers but makes up for this in speed and agility. He also possesses a decent kick and is a top bloke off the pitch. Born an Ollerton lad, we signed "Claff" from neighboring Thoresby Colliery, his only previous club.                        

 
 

James Fletcher- Goalkeeper

James and Neil share many qualities. James isn't the tallest of keeper's but has a great kick on him despite only being young. We also signed him from Thoresby and he is also a top lad.

 
 

Simon Haynes- Goalkeeper

Simon makes up our talented trio of goalkeepers and uses his height effectively. Still at a young age, Simon posseses all the traits to become a excellent goalkeeper in the future.

 
 

Chris Baugh - Defender

Winning the players' player trophy in four consecutive seasons tells you all you need to know about the young defender. Baughy has a splendid attitude both on and off the field. Chris is one of our players who has come through the ranks of the junior and reserve teams and now is an ever present member of the first team.

 
 

Ryan Buckland-Defender

Former clubs- Shirebrook and Blidworth. Can play anywhere across the back line

 
 

Rob (Bobby) Evans - Defender

Rob has probably got one of the best left foots in the league as well as being a good defender who likes to get foward. We signed Rob from Alfreton Town and he has also had a spell with Selston FC

 
 

Liam Mason - Defender

A rock-solid, no-nonsense defender and born winner. Very strong, reliable player and a great header of a ball, he would head a train if it was hurtling towards him. Liam's only previous club is Sandhurst FC.

 
 

Alex Wilford-Defender

Defender,  signed from Rainworth Miners Welfare. Big things are expected of him despite him only being young. Reliable, Mature head and everything you could ask for off a defender.

 
 

Dean Mitchell - Defender

After several seasons with the first team, Dean took over the reserves however when called up to the first team his performances alway's impressed which led to the former Stags Defender joining back up with the first team. A mature head, Dean leads the back line well.

 
 

Nathan Brown -Defender

Nathan is a young left sided defender who made an immediate impact on his break through to the first team half way through the 08/09 season. However a broken leg ended his season but now fully fit everyone hopes he can refind his form.

 
 

Josh Egginton-Defender


Despite only being young, this left footed defender immediately impressed. Comfortable on the ball and a strong physical presence, Josh is definately one to look out for in the future

 
 

Tony Buchannon - Defender/Midfielder

This amateur boxer has a quality left foot and is comfortable either defending or attacking. A left sided midfielder preferably, previous club Thoresby Colliery

 
Craig Gould - Midfielder

Craig joined us from Rainworth with his twin brother Carl and they are both young, promising players. Craig plays on the right hand side of midfield but can also play centrally.

 
 
 

 

Carl Gould - Midfielder/Striker

Carl is a pacey forward and joined from Rainworth alongside twin Craig. Carl has a good strike on him and with his age looks to be one for the future.

 
 

Lee Smith- Midfielder

Lee is great at breaking up play and keeping the ball. Joined through Terry Annable, Smithy looks a good addition to out midfield.

 
 

Joseph Meehan- Midfielder-Striker

'Jam' joined the team with his brother, Ryan, at the start of the 09/10 season. The midfielder has a great engine on him and never stops on him. As good at tackling as he is at attacking Jam has added to our impressive midfield.

 
 

 

Gary Panting - Utility

When Gethfield tried 'Pant'  at central defence he took to it like a duck to water. Very quick feet and reads the game better than many. No previous clubs to his name, Gary came through the junior sides then into the reserves. A very reliable defender who very rarely misses a game.

 
 

Terry Annable - Midfielder/Defender
(Captain)

Terry is a left footed player who can either play centre half or anywhere down the left wing. A good aerial threat due to his height and a former Southwell player who has a lot of experience and shares this experience with his constant talking on the pitch.

 
 

 

Ryan Meehan - Midfielder-Striker

Ryan is the brother of 'Jam' and came to us after impressing in local football. Good at getting at fullbacks and setting up the strikers, Ryan can also get a goal himself, scoring two in his first Pre season with the club.

 
 

Scott Rodgers-Midfielder

Scott joined as part of our under 19 setup but shone through and now finds himself everpresent in the reserves and in and out of the first team. Only in his teens we have big hopes of Scott who can always pick a pass. 

 
 

Kyle Clarkson-Midfielder/Striker

Kyle is a ever present member of our Reserves and Under 19's. Quick and Skillful a real one to watch out for in the future.

 
 

James Foster-Midfielder

 James,despite being young, has made many first team appearence and in the under 19's and reserves, this experiences counts.
Always work's hard and put tackles in aswell as impressive passing

Richard Guest- Midfielder/Striker

"Guesty" signed from Sutton in the 09/10 season and the midfielder is very calm on the ball and with his height is always useful from set pieces.

 

 

Jamie Senior-Striker

Jamie joined us with "Guesty" and despite not having the height of Guest is also a good ball player and is also handy going forwards.

   

Will Tomlinson-Striker

This experienced striker is good friends with a big group of the squad. Previously played for Retford and Sutton. Will's height makes him a real threat and he has a thunderous shot.

 
 

James Scothern-Striker

James is a young player who is a real threat upfront and he can also play in midfield where he has a good range of passing.

 
 

 Lee Pashley-Striker

Pash joined us through Liam Mason. A strong striker who looks to bring others into play. Also a threat at set pieces.
